		<description>We&#039;re in a transitory period where, for a large number of apps, taking the native approach gives better short-term results. However, I agree that the balance will shift in favour of HTML 5 and the web as they both evolve.

Native apps will always be ahead of web apps in terms of features and hardware support, but as the building blocks needed to build rich web-based apps are added to engines like WebKit, the shift to web apps will accelerate.</description>

I would tend to be less balanced in my view - I think apps are dead in the water - there&#039;ll be 2-5 years of transition but thats it.

HTML5 is the future.
